Assessment of the Feasibility of Producing Reference Materials for VOC Emission Testing

This report describes the identification and evaluation of specific measurement issues, and reference materials needs to support volatile organic compound (VOC) emission testing measurements of construction materials.

It addresses the procedures and factors which affect the production of stable, homogeneous reference materials and includes both solid materials (e.g. insulation products, floor and wall coverings) and liquid products (e.g. paints, varnishes), which may contain potentially significant levels of VOCs.
