Cross-platform evaluation using panels of RNA standards for gene expression biomarker measurements

This poster relates to work carried out under project DD1 - Quality metric toolkit for biomarker discovery and validation, of the NMS Chemical and Biological Metrology programme.

The FDA Critical Path Initiative highlights the need for better tools and standards for biomarker validation in order to accelerate the approval of new biomarkers as diagnostic indicators. This poster evaluates the performance characteristics of an established qPCR platform, the Applied Biosystems^TM 7900HT, and a new technology, nanofluidic BioMark^TM 48x48 dynamic arrays (Fluidigm®)
